Ryno Griesel (29), joined the team in 2006, and coming from an elite trail running background, combined with his passion for mountaineering, “earned” him his spot in team Cyanosis. Ryno is a remarkable athlete and has grabbed this opportunity with both hands, Ryno finished the 2006 Cape Odyssey in 2nd with team mate Nicholas and earned themselves the first athletes to complete & be competitive in both the Cape Epic and the Odyssey in the same year. Ryno’s mountaineering background adds major value to the team during technical ropes sections and often takes the lead and ensures the teams safety without sacrificing speed.
